Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
This policy describes how Living As Awareness, operated by Deana Coble at livingasawareness.com, uses information in connection with this website and its YouTube integration. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to livingasawareness@gmail.com.
Information you provide
When you contact Deana or request to join the Awareness Practice Group or newsletter, the website processes the name, email address, message and signup choices you submit. These details are emailed to Deana and used to respond, arrange requested services and provide the communications you selected. You can ask to stop receiving emails by contacting Deana or using an unsubscribe option where provided.
Website operation and security
Hosting, email and security services process information needed to deliver and protect the website. This may include IP addresses, browser and device information, request times and security logs. Form protection uses Cloudflare Turnstile. The website also uses short-lived records to limit repeated form submissions. WordPress may use cookies for administrator login and related functions. Cloudflare’s handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.
Videos, thumbnails and external services
The website displays YouTube thumbnails and embedded videos, including players using youtube-nocookie.com. Loading thumbnails or interacting with a player can send information, such as your IP address and browser details, to Google or YouTube. Those services may use cookies, similar technologies or serve advertising in accordance with their own policies. Their handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Booking features and links use the Living As Awareness scheduling service at livingasawareness.as.me. Bookings and any associated payment information are processed through the relevant scheduling and payment providers under their own privacy terms. Links to the Living As Awareness app, Amazon, Zoom and other websites are governed by the policies of those services. This policy covers this website and its YouTube integration, rather than the separate app or third-party services.
YouTube API Services and channel authorization
The website uses YouTube API Services and the channel’s public feed to show videos and make available transcripts searchable. Visitors do not need to connect a Google account to browse or search the video library. The channel owner’s optional Google authorization is used to confirm the connected channel and retrieve caption tracks for that owner’s videos.
The integration processes the channel identifier, video identifiers, titles, descriptions, publication dates and available caption text. Public video information and transcripts are displayed on the website and included in its video search. Authorized caption text, once retrieved for publication, can therefore be visible to website visitors and search engines. Google OAuth client credentials and a refresh token are stored on the website server to maintain the authorized connection. They are not included in public pages. The integration does not request or store the owner’s Google password.
Google’s caption-download authorization includes permission to edit or delete YouTube content. The website’s current integration only reads channel information and captions; it does not upload, edit or delete YouTube videos, comments, ratings or captions. The broad authorization still presents a risk if credentials or the website are compromised.
Google user data obtained through this integration is used to provide the website’s video and transcript features, rather than for advertising profiles, sale, lending decisions or training general-purpose AI models. Living As Awareness’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sharing and access
Information is processed by service providers as needed for website hosting, email, security, scheduling and the Google/YouTube connection. Website administrators and authorized technical support may access stored information when necessary to operate or maintain the site. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. Contact and signup information is not published as part of the video library.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Contact messages and signup information are retained as needed to respond, provide requested communications, maintain necessary business records or meet legal obligations. Server logs and backups may retain copies according to the relevant provider’s retention practices. Public video information and transcripts remain stored until refreshed or removed; the current integration does not automatically delete them merely because access is revoked.
The channel owner can revoke Google access through Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents future authorized access but does not itself erase previously stored transcripts or website records. To request disconnection and deletion of stored authorization tokens or imported data, contact livingasawareness@gmail.com. You may also use that address to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or raise a privacy concern. Requests will be handled subject to identity verification and any applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Security
Access controls and website security measures help protect information. No website, connected account or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
YouTube terms and changes to this policy
